How dangerous is flying at night?

Australia’s counterpart to the US NTSB (Australian Transport Safety Bureau or ATSB) tweeted the results of a study indicating flying at night is 3 times more likely to result in a crash.  Briefly, you need to bring your A game to night flight.  Good risk management is key.
